Adults at Alon

We have an ebb and flow of people constantly through the community, varying from around 70 to 100 adults at any given time. The fact that everyone resides at Alon Farm does not mean that we are always together at our homebase at the same time. For example, outreaches, invitations from other churches, work, holidays and other factors means that our community is always alive with seasons of people as various individuals and couples come and go during the year. It is wonderful to see how God has brought in people from many nations and continues to do so faithfully as we believe we have been mandated to ask the Lord for the nations as our inheritance (Psalm 2:8). America, Britain, Denmark, France, Germany, Israel, Mozambique, Switzerland and Zimbabwe are but some of the nations represented at Alon and of course… many South Africans. We have furthermore seen how the Lord has beautifully put together marriages on the farm amongst people from different nations, a wonderful statement of Him breaking down cultural barriers. Apart from the permanent core of people living at Alon, there is also a transient portion of people who come to Alon for short seasons (e.g. 1 - 3 months) for various reasons, whether it be to receive healing, to seek the Lord, to restore marriages and lives etc. Our community consists of people literally from all walks of life and while the majority of our adult population works in various departments at Alon Farm, many also work in a professional capacity in the local town of Tzaneen, whether in self-owned business or in government hospitals.
