I give thanks to God my
father who has not only saved me, but protected me in the days when I was
in great darkness. Being the son of a pastor and growing up with religion
I thought that I knew it all, but it was the day that I opened my heart to
Jesus that God started revealing himself to me as a father who loves,
protects me, leads me and provides for me. I am so excited for what the
Lord has...not just for me but also for the incredible church into which
he has grafted me. The Lord recently blessed me with a beautiful wife and
together we desire to go forward and wholeheartedly to give ourselves to
God's plan. Even though it is a dark world which we live in we can declare
Psalm 118:17 "I will not die but live, and will proclaim what the
LORD has done." Nono (my wife) grew up in a typically African rural
setting and after school she moved to the city of Johannesburg to study
further. Life in the city was so different from what she had known as a
child. People lived in expensive, beautiful homes and could afford
anything they wanted. Even though Nono was a believer in Jesus, she was
ambitious and wanted to have the same lifestyle as the city people which
she envied. However, she also longed for the life that she read about in
Acts 2:42. This is what she says.... I realised that God can
provide for me, for he knows the things which I need and that the
prosperity and success that God speaks about is not what the world offers.
He has blessed me more than I could ever have imagined. Now I am a wife
and have a wonderful big family...just like in Acts 2:42. |
